If CFD-Post crashes while generating an animation of transient results, it may leave behind lock files in the CFX run folder. Subsequent attempts to read in the timestep or create an animation associated with the lock file will fail with the following error: “Aborting due to unexpected error: socketError: RemoteEngineProtocol::receiveTransStat – Communications error: unexpected end of transmission from engine, expected status code.
