Move the solid body within the component – Open the individual component (click RMB on component and select “Open Component”) and move the Solid geometry  What you will notice is that if you open an individual component, it has its own coordinate system.  Every item (Solid, Surface, Curve, etc) can be moved inside of a model. This affects its position relative to its own coordinate system.    In the assembly, you mostly deal with the main coordinate system. However, if you open a single component and move the solid body, you may notice a change in the position within the assembly.   This can be prevented by defining assembly conditions like Align, Orient, and Tangent in order to reduce the degrees of freedom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-170998","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-18-1","topic-tag-ansys-spaceclaim-directmodeler","topic-tag-fluid-dynamics","topic-tag-preprocessing-geometry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_wp_page_template":["default"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2\/6\/2023 20:20"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27796"],"_bbp_author_ip":["209.182.204.162"],"_btv_view_count":["257"],"siebel_km_number":["2051056"],"product_version":["18.1"],"km_published_date":["2017-08-21T00:00:00.000Z"],"family":["Fluid Dynamics"],"application_name":["ANSYS SpaceClaim DirectModeler"]},"test":"articlesansys-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/170998","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/170998\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=170998"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
