What are the conditions for when it is considered beneficial?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the following conditions, pipe to elbow transitioning will done:   1) A straight pipe289 element is next to a curved pipe289 element 2) The section ID&#8217;s of the 2 adjacent elements are the same 3) The tangents of the 2 elements at the shared node are within 1 degree.   When a transition region is determined, the algorithm marches out along the straight region and converts 289&#8217;s to 290&#8217;s until a distance of 2 pipe diameters is exceeded.   The curved regions will typically have cross-section deformation.
