When using subscription licensing after this date the software will be prevented from renewing its authentication.  Without the ability to authenticate, the software will not be able to run and will prompt the user with this error message:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/05\/547-2023-05-22T051308.341.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"184\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-198715\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Affected products:<\/p>\n<p>Ansys Discovery Simulation (Named User), all versions<\/p>\n<p>Ansys Discovery Modeling (Named User), all versions<\/p>\n<p>Ansys SpaceClaim (Named User), all versions<\/p>\n<p>Steps to fix:<\/p>\n<p>1.       Download patch located <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/Installs\/SubscriptionLicensingPatch.zip\">here<\/a> (includes patch for versions 2021 R1 through 2023 R1)<\/p>\n<p>2.       Unzip contents of downloaded zip file<\/p>\n<p>3.       Double click on the executable and install the patch (you may need to right click and run as administrator)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/05\/547-2023-05-22T051312.964.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-198716\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4.       Launch Discovery or SpaceClaim and enter your login information<\/p>\n<p>After installing this patch, the software will be able to properly authenticate the next time you launch the product.
