This large production of k affects the levels of turbulent viscosity at interface.  For k-\u03c9 models, a correction exists to increase the level of \u03c9 based on the gradient of volume fraction so that dissipation term is increased in k equation. This correction corresponds to the \u00ab\u00a0turbulence damping\u00a0\u00bb option in the turbulence model GUI.  Such option has been tested on a simple configuration and the damping effects were observed on the turbulent kinetic energy level at the interface.
