Impedance boundary could be used to simulate the effect of induced current in a conductor without explicitly computing them. When setting up the model, the conductor itself must be excluded from the solution region (saving time needed to mesh and solve for currents). Surface loss density field plot is available for calculating loss distribution using this boundary condition.

Attachments:
1. EM_FAQ_NonlinearImpedanceBoundaryfor3DTransientDesign.pdf

["post-169496","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-2021-r2","topic-tag-boundaries-maxwell","topic-tag-electromagnetics-electronics","topic-tag-impedance","topic-tag-low-frequency-electromagnetics","topic-tag-maxwell
[{"0":
default
11/5/2022 20:20
27819
209.182.204.162
1888
2067604
2021 R2
2022-04-13T00:00:00.000Z
Electromagnetics & Electronics
Maxwell
["GET
