In SpaceClaim, the purpose of the enclosure tool is to create the fluid domain around a solid, and to give the user the ability to modify the solid, and update the fluid domain by right-clicking on the enclosure body->update enclosure. For external aerodynamics it may be necessary to extend the far-field if it is not far enough away. It is not allowed to modify an enclosure since it must remain consistent with the solid. Removing the enclosure body from its component allows the user to modify the far-field, but then changes to the solid are not updated in the fluid. This solution satisfies both requirements.
