DesignLife can either use elastic FE calculated strains or elastic-plastic FE calculated strains.  Time Series load mapping uses linear superposition.  DesignLife does not explicitly prevent using Time Series load mapping with elastic-plastic FE results, but it is not recommended because it would entail linearly combining nonlinear results.  The recommended approach is to use linear FE results with an elastic-plastic correction (e.g., Neuber method) on the combined result.
