What can be done to reduce the file size?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The MNF can be optimized in the ADAMS\/Flex Toolkit program, such as computing the inertia invariants, removing internal element faces, and\/or using single precision. The procedure can also be performed when generating the MNF with the ADAMS.MAC macro by setting the system environment variable MDI_MNFWRITE_OPTIONS.  The values of this system environment variable is a comma-separated list, which includes &#8220;single&#8221; (single precision), &#8220;fast_invar&#8221; or &#8220;full_invar&#8221; to pre-compute the partial or full set of invariants, &#8220;strip_face&#8221; to remove internal element faces, and &#8220;coarsen(res,ang,colin)&#8221; to coarsen the mesh based on a &#8216;percent resolution,&#8217; &#8216;tolerance angle,&#8217; and removal of &#8216;colinear points&#8217; (0 < res < 0.5, 0 < ang < 45, colin=0, 1).
