Question: I’m trying to define a sandwich shell structure. From the help files it looks like I should be able to that with a layered section but when I right click on Geometry in the Ansys Mechanical tree that option is not available. How do I enable this feature? Answer: Please check the license you are using. (You can do this by looking at the top left of the Mechanical window.) This feature is not supported by the lowest level license which is “Mechanical Pro” license. Higher level licenses (Either “Mechanical Premium” or “Mechanical Enterprise” ) is needed to access Layered Shell composites feature.
