The Poisson effect tends to make the cylinder want to shrink radially. It is prevented from doing so due to the fixed support, which gives a reaction in X in the axisymmetric case. These X forces will be canceled out when you consider the whole 360 degrees model.  In 2D axisymmetric model, X direction is the radial direction in a cylindrical coordinate system and it&#8217;s direction is changing from 0 to 360 degrees. In 3D model, X direction is in Cartesian coordinate system and is fixed. For this reason, force reactions in X are not directly comparble in 2D axisymmetric and 3D full models. In 3D model you may create a local cylindrical coordinate system and then scope force reaction in the cylindrical coordinate system.
