To use ANSYS beta version, go to Tools>Options>Appearance and check the &#8220;Beta options&#8221; box.   To insert a spring, right click on the connections group, choose insert, and then select &#8220;spring&#8221;. In the details view for the inserted spring, under &#8220;Spring Behavior&#8221;, you can find the options &#8220;Tension only (beta)&#8221;, &#8220;Compression only (beta)&#8221; or &#8220;Both&#8221;.  PS.
