The default file name and path are  Windows C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensinglicense_filesansyslmd.opt  Linux \/ansys_inc\/shared_files\/licensing\/license_files\/ansyslmd.opt  Below is an example of a group with one username defined and which reserves 3 ansys licenses for that group  GROUP dummy nosuchuser RESERVE 3 ansys GROUP dummy  Another example of reserving by a specific INCREMENT line by using the encryption code in the line RESERVE 2 ansys_key= 678BFG15090D GROUP dummy  For additional information please refer the section &#8220;Managing the Options File&#8221; in the pdf file at the path below on the license server C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensinglicadmindocufnp_LicAdmin.pdf  Note the license server will need to be stopped and restarted when the options file is created.
