Only linear dimensions appear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FAQ: Discovery SpaceClaim &#8211; Unable to create diameter\/radius dimensions. \u00a0Only linear dimensions appear<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This problem appears when the geometry in the 3D frame of reference is not aligned with the default drawing views.<\/p>\n<p>You can fix the orientation using the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Activate the Move command<\/li>\n<li>Select the component or solid body from the structure tree<\/li>\n<li>Click the Anchor button (#1 in the image below)<\/li>\n<li>Select the center axis of the arc, or the top face of the body (#2)<\/li>\n<li>Click the Move tool handle perpendicular to the face, or aligned to the center axis (#3)<\/li>\n<li>Click the Orient to Object tool (#4)<\/li>\n<li>Select a reference to align the body to, such as an axis of the world origin<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The default drawing views such as Top, Front, Right, etc are all aligned with the planes of the world origin, such as XY, XZ, and YZ.\u00a0 If the geometry is not aligned with these, the orientation of the model on a drawing sheet will be skewed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-155465\" src=\"\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/08\/hg22.png\" alt=\" width=\"784\" height=\"582\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-159789","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-spaceclaim"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.10 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"FAQ: Discovery SpaceClaim - Unable to create diameter\/radius dimensions.
