To confirm this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Type %temp% in Windows Search and locate\u00a0<em>.ansys<\/em>\u00a0folder.<\/li>\n<li>Locate the file named<em>\u00a0ansysls_client.****.log<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Open the file and check for error \u201c<em>Received a fatal signal C0000005: ACCESS VIOLATION<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Recommended Solution:<\/strong>\u00a0Reboot the machine and if the problem persists, follow the steps listed below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to folder\u00a0<em>C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Rename the file\u00a0<em>ansysls_client.exe\u00a0<\/em>to\u00a0<em>ansysls_client.exe.old<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Download the attached\u00a0<em>ansysls_client.exe<\/em>\u00a0file and paste it in the same folder.<\/li>\n<li>Add a new environment variable\u00a0<em>ANSYSLS_CLIENT_USE_ALT_HOSITD_METHOD=1\u00a0<\/em>to the list of system variables on your machine.<\/li>\n<li>Reboot the machine<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: This solution is applicable for 2019R2 version only and once 2019R3 is available, a complete uninstall and reinstall to 2019R3 is recommended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-159710","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-installation-faq"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_wp_page_template":["default"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["09-13-2022  20:20:26"],"_bbp_forum_id":["159546"],"_btv_view_count":["5658"],"family":["Discovery Products"],"application_name":["installation"],"product_version":["2019R3"],"_bbp_likes_count":["1"]},"test":"solution"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/159710","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/159710\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=159710"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
