If they are one in the same, please have them run BOTH sets of instructions below as they will each gather distinct details needed to troubleshoot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLIENT<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><u>For version 2021 R1 and later:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>1. Launch ANSYS Client Licensing Setting 2021 R1 utility from windows Start menu.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0Click Gather\u00a0Diagnostic<\/p>\n<p>3. Click Generate<\/p>\n<p>4. The diagnostics zip file will get saved at a particular location whose path is mentioned in the panel.<\/p>\n<p>5. Please email that zip file to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" rev=\"auto\">ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><u>For older versions:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>1. Launch the Client ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility as the user experiencing the problem.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click View Status\/Diagnostic\u00a0Options<\/p>\n<p>3. Click Gather\u00a0Diagnostic\u00a0Information<\/p>\n<p>4. Select Yes when prompted<\/p>\n<p>5. If you would like to specify the directory of the\u00a0diagnostic\u00a0files, select Yes. If not, select No (there will be a pop-up window displaying the location of the\u00a0diagnostic\u00a0files once it\u2019s finished gathering the files)<\/p>\n<p>6. Please zip the entire diagnostic directory and email it to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" rev=\"auto\">ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please refer to this Animated Tutorial for assistance with how to obtain the\u00a0diagnostics\u00a0on the Client side and for license servers running Version 15 or earlier version of the ANSYS Inc. License Manager.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Gathering Client-Side\u00a0Diagnostics\u00a0for\u00a0ANSYS<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/9CcJMhtim9Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/youtu.be\/9CcJMhtim9Q<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>SERVER<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>If your License Server is running version 16 of the ANSYS Inc. License Manager, please follow these steps for gathering the server side\u00a0diagnostics.<\/p>\n<p>1. Launch ANSYS License Management Center<\/p>\n<p>1.1 For Windows: Click Start&gt;All Programs&gt;ANSYS, Inc. License Manager&gt; ANSYS License Management Center or copy and paste this\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/localhost:1084\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" rev=\"auto\">http:\/\/localhost:1084\/<\/a>\u00a0to any web browser<\/p>\n<p>1.2 For Linux: Run the start_lmcenter script in ansys_Inc\/shared_files\/licensing\/ directory<\/p>\n<p>2. Click Gather\u00a0Diagnostic\u00a0Information<\/p>\n<p>3. Click SAVE TO FILE, the\u00a0diagnostic\u00a0folder will be created in the same directory as the \u201cDownload Location\u201d set for the web browser that is used to open ANSYS License Management Center. If the web browser displays options between save and open, please save the file.<\/p>\n<p>4.
