{"id":159684,"date":"2022-09-26T09:53:27","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T09:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"\/knowledge\/forums\/topic\/changing-named-user-subscription-or-floating-enterprise-license-option-after-installation-of-discovery-products\/"},"modified":"2023-08-16T06:32:50","modified_gmt":"2023-08-16T06:32:50","slug":"changing-named-user-subscription-or-floating-enterprise-license-option-after-installation-of-discovery-products","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/knowledge\/forums\/topic\/changing-named-user-subscription-or-floating-enterprise-license-option-after-installation-of-discovery-products\/","title":{"rendered":"Changing Named User Subscription or Floating (Enterprise) license option after installation of Discovery products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Problem<\/strong>: After installing Discovery products, following errors are observed when trying to launch the application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Error<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR<\/p>\n<p>No servers provided<\/p>\n<p>ANSYSLI_SERVERS:<\/p>\n<p>FLEXlm Servers<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-155089\" src=\"\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/08\/1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"576\" height=\"272\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Error<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>No subscriptions available<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-155091\" src=\"\/knowledge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2022\/08\/2.png\" alt=\" width=\"834\" height=\"482\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cause<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The above errors are seen if a different licensing option is selected during installation against the license which you have.<\/p>\n<p>The LICENSE MANAGER error appears if the licensing mode was selected as &#8220;Floating&#8221; during installation. Similarly, the &#8220;No Subscriptions&#8221; error appears if the licensing mode was selected as &#8220;Subscription&#8221;\u00a0during installation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The above errors can be quickly fixed by switching the license mode. Go to Windows Start menu, ANSYS 19.2 folder and open &#8220;Discovery Licensing Mode Manager&#8221;.
