FAQ
ParticipantWhen reading a POLYFLOW .cdb file into a Workbench application, one may run into some issues. The file that POLYFLOW is generating is a valid ANSYS *input* file but some troubles are met in connection with the .CDB attribute. While ANSYS (the program) does not complain about this, one of the Workbench programs, FE Modeler, does stumble over a few minor issues because it assumes that the file is standard-compliant. One of these issues is simply related to the location of whitespace. One simple and quick workaround to this issue is to read the POLYFLOW-generated CDB file into ANSYS, and then to write out a proper CDB file with the same information (attached as “modified.cdb”). This second CDB reads into FE Modeler nicely.
