Can issuing SUMTYPE,PRIN affect the calculated SEQV for single result set?

      Yes. With the default setting of SUMTYPE,COMP, the component stresses are averaged at the nodes and SEQV is calculated from these averaged component stresses. If SUMTYPE,PRIN is issued, the component stresses are set to zero and the equivalent stresses are directly averaged at the nodes, because the component stresses aren’t available.
