ANSYS SpaceClaim: I am using dynamic assemblies to create a moving mechanism with 1 or 2 degrees of freedom. At first the components were not all at the same level in the assembly tree. I was only able to get the dynamic assembly to work when I modified my assembly structure to move all components to be under the same assembly. Do you have more information about the range of capabilities of dynamic assemblies?

As far as I’m aware, the main concern when attempting to show a range of motion in an assembly is that the assembly conditions allow this movement. When using the Move tool to reposition an item, you should make sure to select the individual component from the structure tree, if your intention is to move only that item. The rest of the assembly should update based on the conditions and constraints you’ve defined.
