


{"id":54272,"date":"2021-04-15T03:30:51","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T03:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/cooling-behaviour-in-transient-thermal\/"},"modified":"2021-04-15T03:30:51","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T03:30:51","slug":"cooling-behaviour-in-transient-thermal","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/cooling-behaviour-in-transient-thermal\/","title":{"rendered":"cooling behaviour in transient thermal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"Item-Body\">\n<div class=\"Message userContent\">\n<p>Hi, im triyng to do a heat transfer simulation.<\/p>\n<p>my problem is that the heat transfer seems not to be working.<\/p>\n<p>I have a cube at 60 &deg; C (this one with 5 faces insulated) and another at room temperature with the other 5 faces with convection.<\/p>\n<p>I Add an apdl command file and then use the IC command for the initial temperature in both cubes:<\/p>\n<p>IC, part_1, temp, 60<\/p>\n<p>IC, part_2, temp, 22<\/p>\n<p>As you can see from the picture, the heat is not transferred to the other cube. I acctually use contact mach, but still, every time i use the apdl the &quot;perfectly insulated&quot; stopped working.
