A problem my group has been facing is selecting a small portion of the shaft in the rotational zone and even the whole rotational zone. When in mesh it forces us to select all or nothing with box select selected. We thought we fixed it by selecting the face but once going into fluent it became clear, atleast I believe that to set up a rotational zone you have to select a body. I say this because the only other named selection from meshing was the only other body made, the whole tank, in the drop down menu of the cell zone conditions.

So I guess my question is how can we only select the fluid in the mrf with box select selected in mesh. If there is another way to keep this named selection as a face select and get it to pop up on fluent's cell zone condition drop down menu please let me know. Thank you and I hope this makes sense, I am fairly new to learning ANSYS.

Here are pictures taken in mesh when trying to only select the rotational zone.

["post-52790","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-fluent","topic-tag-mesh","topic-tag-named-selections
[{"0":
25097
Anonymous
false
publish
&\u0001 ?@\u0002\u001a@?{h:?bY1
normal
0
5402
232820
unanswered
publish
52790
27792
62","199","186331
3
4
144811
144811
2021-03-04 09:47:07
["GET
