I know that from 2019 R3 we can assign a conductor as Litz wire, but I dont want to use this because I’m not sure how the Litz wire is modelled.nSince it is almost impossible to model an actual Litz wire in the simulation, I used a solid conductor in which I want to assume that the current is distributed uniformly across all strands. This means that the proximity effect caused by other strands inside the same conductor is negligible. nThe thing is, I want to simulate a transformer where there are several Litz wire in close proximity which is why the proximity effect caused by neighboring wire should be taken into account. nIn summary, I want to get the AC winding loss caused by the proximity effect from different wires but not the proximity effect caused by the strands in the same wire.nIs there any way to do this in Maxwell 3D? nThanks.nn<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-51124","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-3d","topic-tag-maxwell","topic-tag-proximity-effect","topic-tag-transient"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_old_topic_id":["23386"],"_bbp_old_topic_author_name_id":["Anonymous"],"_bbp_old_is_topic_anonymous_id":["false"],"_bbp_old_closed_status_id":["publish"],"_bbp_author_ip":["u\u0011?j"],"_bbp_old_sticky_status_id":["normal"],"_bbp_likes_count":["0"],"_btv_view_count":["1239"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_status":["publish"],"_bbp_topic_id":["51124"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27793"],"_bbp_engagement":["94","184864"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["2"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["138100"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["138100"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2021-01-08 11:35:02"]},"test":"ramadhanmh"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/51124","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/51124\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=51124"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
