For my fluids class, I have a final project in which I have to explore “Fluid Machines to help reduce energy consumption”. One of the options is Fluidic Air Lubrication (FAL). nI have a little bit of background in CFD, as I’m the Aero lead for our uni’s solar car team. I’ve ran CFD on ANSYS Fluent for our CAD models multiple times, and I understand the general math behind it pretty decent.nFor this project I was thinking to do a 2D simulation with a ship hull, one with FAL and one without. I could then measure the coefficient of drag in both. My question is, how would I go about actually implementing this “air bubble” under the ship hull in ANSYS? All the previous CFD work ive done has never involved any lubricants, so I’m a little bit lost. nnAny help would be great!
