I am new to Fluent.I have the following simple experiment model and queries:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experiment model:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>A cylindrical enclosure of incompressible carbon monoxide w\/ a heater placed in between. The bottom and top face are the pressure inlet (10mPa) and outlet (0mPa) as shown in the figure of the contour plots below. I run a simple transient simulation with 10 iterations.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Queries:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I have following queries with the units and result graphs.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> I create a new unit i.e. mPa and use 10mPa pressure as the input as show below:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/01322688-dee0-4b7e-9770-abfe0080fb67\/4ad5504c-2441-4f1a-a761-abff00a292eb_units.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"369\" height=\"178\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/01322688-dee0-4b7e-9770-abfe0080fb67\/c237d658-1922-4dc1-8567-abff00a2a5dc_input-pressure.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"337\" height=\"158\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>However when I see the contour plot of the total pressure, the value of pressure are extremely high and doesn&#8217;t make any sense.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/01322688-dee0-4b7e-9770-abfe0080fb67\/aa2efa5d-f226-400d-917f-abff00a55a55_total-pressure-plot.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"381\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>also, input and output pressure seems to be equal. How is it so?<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> I tried giving a sinusoidal pressure pulse as the input using the following UDF<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/01322688-dee0-4b7e-9770-abfe0080fb67\/00c2a6b1-f34e-49b4-aab8-abff00a68b26_sinusoidal-pulse.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"385\" height=\"202\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>However, when I see the vector plot of the pressure, the pressure seems to be constant rather than sinusoidal in nature w\/ extremely high values.
