The model contains a main air region and four porous regions. I am using the <strong data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1352\">SST <span class=\"katex\">k&minus;&omega;<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;turbulence model with the energy equation enabled.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1589\">My main problem is that the <strong data-start=\"1439\" data-end=\"1540\">continuity residual decreases initially but then remains nearly flat at approximately <span class=\"katex\">10E-01<\/span><\/strong>, while the other residuals continue to decrease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"2309\" data-end=\"2509\">I also monitor pressure during the calculation. The pressure-related monitor continues to increase with iteration instead of reaching a stable plateau, so I do not consider the solution converged yet.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2544\">I would like to understand:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"3060\">\n<li data-section-id=\"r6480k\" data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"2721\">What are the most likely reasons for the continuity residual remaining around <span class=\"katex\">10E-01<\/span>&nbsp;when the velocity, turbulence, and energy residuals have decreased significantly?<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1u475fh\" data-start=\"2724\" data-end=\"2914\">Is reducing the momentum under-relaxation factor an appropriate approach, or should I focus instead on boundary conditions, mass imbalance, pressure-velocity coupling, or mesh resolution?<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1kd6jz8\" data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"3055\">What additional quantities should I check to determine whether the problem is numerical or whether the flow may be inherently unsteady?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-start=\"3063\" data-end=\"3234\">I have attached screenshots of the residual history, mesh, and mesh-quality statistics.
