Recently i’ve research on how to auto stop a simulation when a specific value is reached and didn’t find any easy way to do that. Some UDFs options were presented but seem too complicated.<\/p>\n
I found a work around using named expressions, Report definitions and Convergence conditions that goes:<\/p>\n
1° Set a Report definition of the region you want to monitor (in my case is the copper surface temperature)<\/p>\n

2° Set a Named expression to output a constant value when the target value is reached and the original value if not. This is the work around to use in the 4° step convergence condition.<\/p>\n
– Expression used: IF((1355[K]-{copper-surface})>0[K],{copper-surface},1355[K])<\/p>\n
(The constant value of 1355 I used was the desired value to don’t mess with the graph)<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3° Set a Expression Report Definition using ‘new -> expression’<\/em> with the named Named Expression set in 2° step<\/p>\n 4° Set a Convergence Condition using the Named Expression of step 3° in Report Definition<\/em> and a stop criteria<\/em> of 0,001 or less<\/p>\n <\/p>\n That’s it!
