{"id":461283,"date":"2026-07-13T17:41:29","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T17:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/imported-solidworks-assembly-has-duplicate-features\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T17:41:29","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T17:41:29","slug":"imported-solidworks-assembly-has-duplicate-features","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/imported-solidworks-assembly-has-duplicate-features\/","title":{"rendered":"Imported Solidworks Assembly has Duplicate Features"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;I imported a Solidworks assembly as a .STEP file into a project on Workbench, and when I opened the geometry in SpaceClaim, I noticed that most parts had duplicates of the same feature.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/07\/13-07-2026-1783964218-mceclip0.png\" width=\"625\" height=\"251\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/07\/13-07-2026-1783964245-mceclip1.png\" width=\"740\" height=\"234\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There are also all of these coordinate systems named &#8220;NONE&#8221;, two in each part, and another duplicate in this folder:&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/07\/13-07-2026-1783964356-mceclip2.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Does anyone have any idea why this happened?
