I have modelled the coil as 1D beam element with predefines pipe cross section. In reality, this coil is supported by 4 u bolts around its circumference as illustrated on attached image. I am not interested on the stresses generated on the u bolt rather, want to capture its effect on the coil weight and displacement due to the thermal strain.
