This LPF has excellent insertion loss.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869166-mceclip1.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I now want to import this S2P file into Siwave and disable all the capacitors and inductors connected to this device, adding a port at each end.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869234-mceclip2.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here are the steps I follow to import S2P file.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869331-mceclip3.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869343-mceclip4.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Next, I set the frequency range for the simulation.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869394-mceclip5.png\" width=\"529\" height=\"128\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869403-mceclip6.png\" width=\"518\" height=\"74\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After simulation, an S2P file was generated, which was opened in ADS.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The insertion loss is surprisingly high.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869473-mceclip7.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Next, I wondered if there might be a problem with the traces at either end, so I simulated each trace separately and checked the results in ADS.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Trace 01&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869593-mceclip10.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869564-mceclip8.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Trace 02&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869606-mceclip11.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869576-mceclip9.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Based on the simulation results, there are no issues with these two traces.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So I connected the S2P files for these two traces and the LPF&rsquo;s S2P file in ADS to view the overall S-parameters.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The results are significantly better than the S-parameters obtained from direct simulation in Siwave.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/27-05-2026-1779869690-mceclip12.png\" \/>&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Right now, I&#8217;m really eager to figure out exactly where the problem lies.
