Crucially, I need the model to be separated into two distinct solid bodies: cortical bone and cancellous (trabecular) bone, so I can assign different material properties to them (e.g., Young’s modulus).

Does anyone have a segmented model in a solid format (
.STEP
,
.IGES
, or SolidWorks/Parasolid) they would be willing to share for academic/research purposes? Most models available online are
.STL
meshes that are extremely difficult to work with in ANSYS for boolean operations (like inserting the implant screw).

Any help, links, or advice on converting DICOMs to solid bodies efficiently would be highly appreciated!

Thank you!

["post-458051","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-mechanicalworkbench-1","topic-tag-motor-cad-1
[{"0":
27789
458051
686767","199
194.29.130.10
458071
458071
2026-05-13 08:35:34
1
0
2
686767","199
58
unanswered
["GET
