Like this I could build my grid by modules and change local regions without have to mesh everything again. <\/p><p>The best example that I could find on the internet similar to that I would like to achieve is a modular meshing methodology by Centaur Meshing: https:\/\/home.centaursoft.com\/software-page\/grid-generator\/key-capabilities\/parts-based\/modular-geometry-and-mesh\/<\/p><p>As you can see in the image below, two red pipe designs are tested, one is a smooth pipe and the second is a straked pipe. The main grid (in grey) and the blue grid (in blue) are constant as the outer geometry and the second pipe do not change and don’t need to be remeshed. Only the yellow mesh changes because the pipe is different. Like this you can save a significant amount of time, still have conformal grids and don’t be affected by solution changes due to the remeshing of the outer zone:<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/04\/21-04-2026-1776793056-mceclip0.png\" \/><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-456857","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-fluentmesh-1"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27792"],"_bbp_topic_id":["456857"],"_bbp_author_ip":["193.125.106.236"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["457092"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["457092"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2026-04-25 11:10:20"],"_bbp_reply_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_engagement":["629869","199842"],"_btv_view_count":["108"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_subscription":["199842","629869"]},"test":"cesarj-95plusgmail-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/456857","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/456857\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=456857"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
