Now I began the retention process (upwards displacement of top part). In this process, the small lock on lower part is supposed to shear (which we found out in experimentation) but in Ansys the top part is showing deformation instead.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/ab778477-3904-4131-a666-ab7c006f5bce\/2c621b19-e0c6-45f0-99ff-abd50069a492_10.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"402\" height=\"210\">&nbsp;&nbsp; <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/ab778477-3904-4131-a666-ab7c006f5bce\/d285c503-79a0-4c43-bd4c-abd50069c7bd_11.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"209\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, the beam is bending due to tensile force but in actual experiment, the beam remains stiff and the small lock gets sheared. So how can I get that result. Is it possible to show shear in Ansys ?
