<span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">I'm trying to simulate an elastic plate impact with a barrier in LS-Dyna within ANSYS Workbench. To reduce the mesh size at the contact, I split the plate body into two bodies. I then used the shared topology option to create a part from these two bodies. However, when analyzing the stresses, I noticed that unequal stresses were occurring at the boundary between these bodies.<br>That is, the stress field becomes discontinuous. Why is this happening? How can I prevent stress differences in the shared nodes of these bodies? I apply the initial velocity to whole part. The boundary conditions are also correct. I tried both the FEM and SPG methods and got the same result.<br>Please help.
