{"id":442565,"date":"2025-09-29T16:10:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T16:10:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/spaceclaim-2025r2-step-file-export-issues\/"},"modified":"2025-10-08T04:57:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T04:57:04","slug":"spaceclaim-2025r2-step-file-export-issues","status":"answered","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/spaceclaim-2025r2-step-file-export-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"SpaceClaim 2025R2 Step File Export Issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;Hi Support.&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In 2025R2 it looks like the STEP file translator has been updated from <strong>&lt;span class=&#8221;citation-20&#8243;&gt;HOOPS Exchange Version 24.6.0 &lt;\/span&gt;<\/strong>&lt;span class=&#8221;citation-20&#8243;&gt;to <strong>HOOPS Exchange Version 25.2.0<\/strong>&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;span class=&#8221;citation-20 citation-end-20&#8243;&gt;&lt;sup class=&#8221;superscript&#8221; data-turn-source-index=&#8221;2&#8243;&gt;&lt;!&#8212;-&gt;&lt;\/sup&gt;&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&#8221;citation-20&#8243;&gt;This seems to be causing a lot of problems with other software as a neutral file type. In 3\/4 different other softwares I have tested the files exported as a STEP don&#8217;t appear as solid causing problems for any sheet metal nesting and braking software.&nbsp;&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&#8221;citation-20&#8243;&gt;Is this something you are aware of.&nbsp;&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&#8221;citation-20&#8243;&gt;I also notice other behavioural differences. In 2025R1 when exporting a sheet metal assembly in STEP format I don&#8217;t get all the unfolded pieces showing in the STEP in the 2025R2 all the unfolded pieces now appear.
