The structure is clamped at the base using mechanical clamps, where I have applied a force of 50 N to hold it in place.<\/p><p data-start=”373″ data-end=”819″>The issue is that in the current results, this force starts acting exactly at the beginning of the simulation. However, in reality, the clamps are already applying this force before the impact occurs. What I would like to achieve is a setup where the force is already acting on the structure before the impact test starts, so that the structure is properly fixed at the base (without generating unwanted bending effects) when the impact begins.<\/p><p data-start=”821″ data-end=”1017″>Do you know if there is a way in LS-DYNA to ensure that this boundary condition is applied in a preloaded state, i.e., the force acts on the structure before the actual impact simulation starts?<\/p><p data-start=”1019″ data-end=”1066″>Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.<\/p><p data-start=”1068″ data-end=”1097″>Best regards<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-441375","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-impact-1","topic-tag-lsdyna"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27809"],"_bbp_topic_id":["441375"],"_bbp_subscription":["110641","13640","613167"],"_bbp_author_ip":["78.212.133.230"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["441437"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["441437"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-09-15 09:34:35"],"_bbp_reply_count":["1"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["1"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_btv_view_count":["3736"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_engagement":["13640","110641"],"_bbp_status":["publish"]},"test":"giuseppe-iacolinounikorestudent-it"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/441375","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/441375\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=441375"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
