However, the goal is to see the wake development distance and everything, so I need the porous jump faces to be surrounded by freestream volume.&nbsp;&lt;br&gt;I have tried making control volumes and imprinting faces, but the only times I can imprint faces is if the surfaces extend beyond the boundary of the solid being imprinted upon, which conflicts with my earlier requirements.&nbsp;&lt;br&gt;So in a nutshell: I would like to have a large control volume with two surfaces inside that I can set up as porous jumps and alter the permeability and whatnot&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If someone can provide tips or even a link to videos that might be useful, I would greatly appreciate that!&lt;\/p&gt;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-441311","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-porous-jump"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.10 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Hello, I am trying to simulate wind turbine performance without importing specific geometries by installing porous jump zones that reduce the velocity of the incoming flow.
