It looks like a wide plate cut in three (one fluid, one solid, and another fluid). I am using edge sizings of number of divisions on all edges (to get a directed Cartesian mesh).<\/p><p>The mesh is quite fine. For example, I am trying to use 74 divisions across 0.0034 m on one edge. If I use no bias, the spacing size is 4.595E-05 m. The problem is that when I try to generate the mesh, it does not respect this number, and just puts 8 divisions (for example). Is it possible that there is a setting somewhere on default spacing that is above 5E-05 m, so that it refuses to go below that number?<\/p><p>It also sometimes stops at 5% Meshing… for hours (literally) without completing. Do you have any idea why that might happen? I have lots of RAM left on the Win11 PC and I asked for 4 cores for parallel for meshing and it seems to be using them.<\/p><p> <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-438267","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27792"],"_bbp_topic_id":["438267"],"_bbp_subscription":["183469"],"_bbp_author_ip":["142.161.89.147"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["438309"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["438309"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-07-31 18:15:56"],"_bbp_reply_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["1"],"_bbp_engagement":["183469"],"_btv_view_count":["213"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"]},"test":"sjormiston"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/438267","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/438267\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=438267"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
