I have tried to preprocess this model in Design Modeler but with not much of a success, now I am trying to complete preprocessing in SpaceClaim, the picture below is a screenshot of the XY-Plane symmetrical model obtained from FEA simulation.

As shown in the picture, the geometry is imported as a faceted mesh body, I have tried to process this body by mirroring it with respect to the symmetry plane, but the resultant body contains too many facets which has become incredibly complex. My goal is to generate a full model using this symmetrical model, then enclose the rim section using a simple cylinder. After finishing the preparation for the wheel model, generate a rectangular solid enclosing the entire wheel model and subtract the wheel from the rectangular solid, and defining this as the fluid domain and import it into fluent for further analysis. Can anyone help with the processes required to complete the above tasks?

Note the region for inflation of the tyre between tyre walls and the rim surface is empty, will this affect the subtracted geometry? If I do need to fill this cavity, how can this be done in addition to the goals mensioned above? THANKS ALOT!!!!!

Best regards,

Yifan Yao

["post-43023","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry
[{"0":
15204
Anonymous
false
publish
null
normal
0
445
249470
unanswered
publish
43023
27789
62","175292
2
1
111900
111900
2020-04-21 05:41:59
["GET
