I’m trying to implement 2 layering zones inside my simulation both of which are occurring at the same time. I get a SIGSEGV error with the message “free(): corrupted unsorted chunks.” I don’t think my UDF is a problem because I tested it on a simpler dynamic case, and didn’t get this error. I think my error comes from how I specify the boundary conditions but I wanted to double check (see figure below). My question is: Is it possible for two touching zones to layer in opposite directions provided that the mesh interface between the two zones are stationary? Thank you again so much!<\/p><p style=”margin: 0in; font-family: ‘Aptos’, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”color: black;”><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/14-04-2025-1744666965-blobid0.png\" width=\"795\" height=\"228\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/14-04-2025-1744667009-mceclip0.png\" \/><\/span><\/p><p style=”margin: 0in; font-family: ‘Aptos’, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”> <\/p><p> <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-428925","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-dynamic-mesh","topic-tag-layering"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27792"],"_bbp_topic_id":["428925"],"_bbp_subscription":["295467","13659","295638"],"_bbp_author_ip":["128.61.187.37"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["431937"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["431937"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-05-19 09:20:39"],"_bbp_reply_count":["10"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["3"],"_bbp_engagement":["295467","13659","295638"],"_btv_view_count":["241"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"]},"test":"zwong32gatech-edu"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/428925","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/428925\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=428925"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
