Is it calculated for only 1\/4 of the 3D model and then multiplied by 4, or is it just calculated for 1\/4 of the 3D model?

In Icepak you can adjust EM losses to obtain the temperature distribution, so should I use the 1\/4 3D model in Icepak too? Of course, this would depend does the symmetry affect to volumetric results in Maxwell 3D.

Also, how do I get full 3D model with RMxprt, when I use “fractions 1” in design settings, I get the complete motor radially, but axially is halved.

<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/09-04-2025-1744201709-mceclip1.png\" \/>

Additionally, when I port both the 2D and 3D models of the motor, the results are extremely different between 2D and 3D. I know that there should be differences, but I think it is too high. The B field in 2D is maximum 1.6T, while in in 3D it is 4T. The torque, currents, induced voltages, etc are considerably different (forms and values).

Regards,

<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-428425","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-AnsysMaxwellelectronics-1","topic-tag-AEDTICEPAK-1","topic-tag-RMXprttoMaxwell-1"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27793"],"_bbp_topic_id":["428425"],"_bbp_subscription":["515105","82626","28969"],"_bbp_author_ip":["2a0c:5a81:5311:e700:ed9e:c995:2a5e:52c0"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["428930"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["428930"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-04-14 23:04:39"],"_bbp_reply_count":["15"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["3"],"_bbp_engagement":["515105","82626","28969"],"_btv_view_count":["507"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"]},"test":"cunyi-jialumnos-upm-es"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/428425","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/428425\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=428425"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
