<p><p><p>Hey, I am new to Ansys Rocky, I have been working on some simulations with just solid particles in 2024R2 locally. However, then I moved to a remote cluster to make use of more computational power, and there only 2025R1.1 was installed, so I ran with that.<\/p><p>My issue comes in postprocessing, I bring the simulation results back to my machine and work locally. I originally tried to process the results from the cluster’s 2025R1.1 with my local 2024R2, but noticed one variable I was interested in (“Particle Solid Volume”) was missing, I then fixed that by installing 2025R1.0 locally (note: I cannot find 2025R1.1) and loading my results there, now I can see “Particle Solid Volume” in my local machine. However, now I am trying to process these results using PyRocky, and I have the same issue of not finding “Particle Solid Volume” despite using 2025R1. Below is a simple bit of code I am running to get this:<\/p><div><div>rocky = pyrocky.launch_rocky(rocky_exe=”C:\\\\Program Files\\\\ANSYS Inc\\\\v251\\\\rocky\\\\bin\\\\Rocky.exe”)<\/div><br><div>project = rocky.api.OpenProject(filename)<\/div><div>processes = project.GetUserProcessCollection()<\/div><div>study = project.GetStudy()<\/div><div>particles = study.GetParticles()<\/div><div>Vs = <span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>particles.GetGridFunction(“Particle Solid Volume”)<\/span><\/div><div> <\/div><div><span style=”font-size: 14pt;”>Where the last line hits me with a ValueError being unable to find the property I ask for (even though I can see it when loading the same results in Rocky via GUI. <\/span><\/div><div><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Or have ideas of how to get around this?<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/p><p>Edit: I am also sure the naming is correct, and that the variable should exist.
