This measurement gives an average strain over an area that the sensor is adhered to. In ansys mechanical, the simulation shows the local normal elastic strain in z dir. to vary significantly over the area footprint of where the sensor is. Is there a way to evaluate an average strain result in mechanical over a sub surface? Are any of the geometry editors able to partition a surface without splitting up the domain?
