


{"id":41735,"date":"2020-03-12T10:03:42","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T10:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-steady-state-thermal-initial-temperature\/"},"modified":"2020-03-12T10:03:42","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T10:03:42","slug":"ansys-steady-state-thermal-initial-temperature","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-steady-state-thermal-initial-temperature\/","title":{"rendered":"ANSYS Steady-State Thermal: Initial Temperature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; font-size: 15px; overflow-x: hidden; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Hi all, does anyone know about the influence of the initial temperature setting in ansys &#8211; steady state thermal analysis?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; font-size: 15px; overflow-x: hidden; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Below is a brief summary of my project and the settings that I have done:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; font-size: 15px; overflow-x: hidden; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">My analysis is about the window frame, where the one outer face is exposed to the outdoor environment at 36.4 degree celsius and another is exposed to the indoor environment at 25 degree celsius.&nbsp;Convection setting is applied to both faces with<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">&nbsp;(outside environment)&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">free convection to air at 36.4 degrees C (5 W\/m^2-K), and (indoor environment) forced convection at low speed of airflow over the surface (10 W\/m^2-K) at 25 degree Celsius.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; font-size: 15px; overflow-x: hidden; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">However, there is an initial temperature setting.
