For a &#8220;property&#8221; such as &#8220;ply material&#8221; the parameter format is a &ldquo;string&rdquo; type, so from the ACP User Guide on page 269 it is said for this type that: Text string from a list of strings. The values in the string list can be called up via an index number in the Workbench interface.The first entry in the string list has the index value 1.&nbsp;The rest follows sequentially.&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;As the string text, I selected the two &ldquo;Fabric&rdquo; for flax (lino) and carbon as shown in the following figure:&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/03-02-2025-1738613752-Ply_Material.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Going to run the optimization I set that the value of the ply material can vary between 1 and 2 (since I want to vary between the two materials chosen) the problem however is that even though these values were varied the material within the ACP setup for that ply remained unchanged, thus going to run the simulation always with the same material applied.&nbsp;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I think my error lies in some wrong setting, how can I solve it?
