


{"id":408164,"date":"2025-02-03T16:01:01","date_gmt":"2025-02-03T16:01:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/iso-surface-combination-across-time-steps\/"},"modified":"2025-02-03T16:01:01","modified_gmt":"2025-02-03T16:01:01","slug":"iso-surface-combination-across-time-steps","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/iso-surface-combination-across-time-steps\/","title":{"rendered":"Iso-surface combination across time steps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;Hi all,&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have been trying to work with iso-surfaces across time steps.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span data-ogsc=&#8221;black&#8221; data-olk-copy-source=&#8221;MessageBody&#8221;&gt;Here&rsquo;s what I wanted to achieve:&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&lt;span data-ogsc=&#8221;black&#8221;&gt;At&nbsp;<strong>time t\u2081<\/strong>, I generate an&nbsp;<strong>iso-surface<\/strong>&nbsp;over a certain set of&nbsp;<strong>cells in my domain&nbsp;<\/strong>from time step 1.&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&lt;span data-ogsc=&#8221;black&#8221;&gt;At&nbsp;<strong>time t\u2082<\/strong>, I obtain another&nbsp;<strong>iso-surface from&nbsp;<\/strong>time step 2, which may overlap with or include different cells than at <strong>t\u2081<\/strong>.&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&lt;span data-ogsc=&#8221;black&#8221;&gt;After&nbsp;<strong>t\u2082<\/strong>, I want the&nbsp;<strong>total spatially integrated iso-surface<\/strong>&nbsp;to include&nbsp;<strong>all cells that were part of the iso-surfaces at t\u2081 and t\u2082<\/strong>.&lt;\/span&gt;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span data-ogsc=&#8221;black&#8221;&gt;Is there any specific method available to perform such operations.
