I am calculating the compression of a rubber sample in LS-Dyna.
I am doing two tests, the first time I set the force on the pressing body to 40 tons. The second time I set the displacement on the pressing body to 50 mm. All other settings are the same.<\/p>
1. When using force, the compression body does not behave physically, compression occurs from above and the lower part as if it has not yet had time to react:<\/p>
<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/02-02-2025-1738512398-mceclip0.png\" \/><\/p>
At 40 tons, compression occurred by 35 mm.<\/p>
2. When using displacement, the body behaves physically and is compressed from both sides, from the side of the compression body and from the side of the thrust body. I install the force reaction sensor on the compression body and see that when moving and compressing the rubber by 50 mm, the load is only 1.5 tons:<\/p>
<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/02\/02-02-2025-1738512420-mceclip1.png\" \/><\/p>
Why is this happening and how to fix it? Is the force reaction lying? Or how to set up calculation when using force?
Thanks.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-408026","topic","type-topic","status-answered","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27814"],"_bbp_topic_id":["408026"],"_bbp_subscription":["257647","83","469525"],"_bbp_author_ip":["91.134.18.46"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["409044"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["409044"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-02-10 11:40:42"],"_bbp_reply_count":["3"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_engagement":["257647","83"],"_btv_view_count":["568"],"_bbp_topic_status":["answered"]},"test":"javat33489gmail-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/408026","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/408026\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":408343,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/408026\/revisions\/408343"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=408026"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
