More specifically, once remoted in, I am opening a (Lumerical) FDTD GUI and running a .lsf script which iterates through a few parameters and runs the simulation for each change. The script also subsequently saves the current iteration’s data as the last step before moving to the next iteration. Ideally, I want to run my script and have it complete all of the iterations while I am doing other things on my computer. <\/span><br><br><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Recently, I noticed that if my RDP window was minimized, if I am disconnected from RDP, or if my computer is turned off\/sleeping, Lumerical will finish the iteration, save the data, and close the GUI. Since the script runs in the same GUI, it is forced to terminate. As such, my remaining iterations are not run. If RDP is open as the iteration finishes, I encounter no such problems, and the next iteration starts without any problems. How should I go about solving this problem?<\/span><br><br><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>I cannot avoid running the script as these iterations take a while but the simulation time changes between each iteration. <\/span><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide. Thanks in advance for the help!<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-406543","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-fdtd","topic-tag-interrupt-1","topic-tag-lsf","topic-tag-scripts-1","topic-tag-simulation","topic-tag-simulationcrash-1","topic-tag-simulation-interruption-2"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_forum_id":["27833"],"_bbp_topic_id":["406543"],"_bbp_subscription":["480237","473055"],"_bbp_author_ip":["165.124.85.108"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["407506"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["407506"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2025-01-29 02:54:57"],"_bbp_reply_count":["3"],"_bbp_reply_count_hidden":["0"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_engagement":["480237","473055"],"_btv_view_count":["392"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_edit_lock":["1737573655:473055"],"_bbp_notification_enabled":["473055"]},"test":"adevatau-northwestern-edu"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/406543","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/406543\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=406543"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
