<p>I’m currently facing a recurring issue with ANSYS Workbench while working with the R2 2024 student version. The error popup states:<\/p><p>“AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem. A diagnostic file has been written.”<\/em><\/p><p>Despite my attempts to troubleshoot, I’m unable to open DesignModeler<\/strong> and Mechanical<\/strong>, but SpaceClaim<\/strong> works fine. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:<\/p><\/p>\n

  1. Renamed the ANSYS.old<\/strong> files in the AppData and Temp directories and cleared these folders.<\/li>\n
  2. Performed a thorough uninstall and reinstallation<\/strong> of ANSYS R2 2024, including deleting registry entries and the Event directory.<\/li>\n
  3. Installed the R1 version<\/strong> on a different drive, but the problem persists.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
