{"id":40103,"date":"2020-01-13T08:49:34","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T08:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/topology-optimization-of-natural-frequency\/"},"modified":"2020-01-13T08:49:34","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T08:49:34","slug":"topology-optimization-of-natural-frequency","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/topology-optimization-of-natural-frequency\/","title":{"rendered":"Topology Optimization of Natural Frequency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m running a simulation of a small part, I did a modal analysis to get the natural frequencies of the piece, very simple and it gave a correct output, but when trying to do a topological optimization to reduce material while keeping the natural frequency high, the solver gives me the next error:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Number of natural frequency exceeds number of calculated frequencies&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s true that it didn&#8217;t detect any frequency in the first mode (0), but I&#8217;ve changed the objective to optimize the second mode and still, this error pops out.
